Discovery and Learning Through Play

Come play with us!

Your child will learn how to take initiative, become more attentive, and cultivate a natural curiosity about the world – all through play! Our kindergarten-prep program is geared towards families of young children ages 2.5 to 5 years old.

Our Approach

Granby Play Days uses play and creative interaction as a way for children to discover and learn.

Our ultimate goal is to prepare our students to be kindergarteners who enjoy learning and who are ready to learn.

We have three objectives:

Red Schoolhouse.

Provide an environment which enhances social competency, language skills, emotional and physical growth and well-being, dramatic play, and creative self expression.

Yellow heart.

Enable a nurturing environment which models positive interaction with the world and others.

Light blue figure of a person.

Facilitate an enjoyable group experience that respects individual learning styles and facilitates lifelong learners.

Pyramid Approach to Positive Behavior Development

As educators and nurturers of young children, we’re expected to uphold certain standards and practices when mentoring our students.

We follow the proven Pyramid Approach to Positive Behavior Development. This is a positive behavior development model that uses evidence-based, early childhood social emotional and inclusive practices to improve the learning environment of our students. The Pyramid Approach offers teachers assistance when dealing with challenging behavior, risk factors, resilience, behavior and brain, relationships, culture, guidance, assessment and positive behavior support, inclusiveness, working with families, and bullying. There are many challenges that may arise when working with young children and families, and this is a strong tool to lean on.
